PAC teams up with North Park Toyota for Graduate and Drive Giveaway

Palo Alto College and North Park Toyota have partnered up to get students where they need to go. When students enroll to attend Palo Alto College for the fall 2021 semester, they will be entered in the College’s Graduate and Drive Giveaway, and one lucky student will get the keys to a brand-new car at the May 2023 graduation.

Students who enrolled to attend Palo Alto College for the fall 2020 semester will also be entered in the College’s Graduate and Drive Giveaway. One lucky student will get the keys to a brand-new car at the May 2022 graduation.

Getting involved is essential to student success, which is why students who are actively engaged in at least one of the many student organizations the College has to offer will receive one additional entry in the contest.

May 2023 Graduate Criteria

CRITERIA

  1. The student must have graduated from high school
  2. The student must enroll at Palo Alto College (PAC Home School) in Fall 2021
  3. The student earns their associate's degree in two years
  4. The student must earn a 2.5 grade point average at the time of graduation
  5. Ten students are selected based on the criteria, and each is provided one key
  6. One key will work and start the car
  7. Must be 18+
  8. Must have a valid driver's license and insurance
  9. Must be a legal U.S. resident 
  10. Student must participate in commencement 
  11. Award Recipient must successfully pass all courses and meet GPA requirements by the end of Summer 2023 to claim the vehicle

 

SELECTION

Ten qualifying potential recipient(s) will be selected by an unbiased randomized selection process among qualifying graduating students according to the criteria set forth above. Students who are part of an active Palo Alto College student organization for at least one academic year will qualify to receive an additional submission.

The random selection of the ten qualifying potential recipients will be conducted by Palo Alto College. Each of the ten selected potential recipients will receive a key that may turn on the Giveaway vehicle.  Only one key will turn on the vehicle, receipt of which will determine the Giveaway winner.

 

AWARD

One award will be provided to one student during the Palo Alto College graduation celebration or an event celebrating the graduates in May 2023. The award will consist of one Toyota Corolla vehicle, or like a vehicle, provided by North Park Toyota. 

Palo Alto College will pay North Park Toyota for the Tax, Title, and License costs for the Giveaway vehicle provided by North Park Toyota to the recipient at a rate of 6.25% MSRP. North Park Toyota will transfer the title directly to the recipient. Federal income tax on the award will be the responsibility of the recipient.
